The Center for Business & Technology serves as a home to Mesa College’s business, computer information science, multimedia, and fashion programs. The Center incorporates collaborative spaces and innovative technology bars, giving students a glimpse into the professional working world. Designed to accommodate the unique needs of each program, the building provides technology-rich classrooms, computer labs, a business case study classroom, and a fashion design lab complete with outdoor fashion catwalk and event plaza. In addition to the educational programs, the building also houses faculty offices and the dean’s suite. The Center takes advantage of San Diego’s climate and views of the nearby canyon by providing operable widows throughout which bring in fresh air and maximize natural daylighting. An outdoor Socratic teaching garden brings learning outdoors and expands the learning environment.
