The Antigua Bar is located in the historic center of the city of La Paz Baja California Sur, in Mexico. It is a small place that is accessed directly from the street, its new reform is aimed at an audience with greater taste for a good drink. It is thought that in the morning breakfast - coffee can be served and at night it is a bar with drinks that stand out for a good mixology in addition to having a small snack menu. The project that was delivered to us was a triangular plant that closes inwards; more open than in its previous design and a greater number of spaces for users; It has only one toilet that will be shared (men-women). Interior design was a traditional canteen concept; We started by dismantling interior walls and machimbrado of adjoining walls, that is, we realized that we had a partition wall which we decided to keep and give it a light bath. In that area we designed a running seat with two high tables where the color of the woods and fabrics were very important to achieve our concept. We built a large bar in the center of the space following the same classic canteen style, it was lined with wood and moldings were placed, in addition to a light bath sprouting below it. On the opposite side of the wall we placed a large beveled mirror to give depth to the space and we designed a couple of tables with benches that upholstered in the same color as the running bench achieved a total integration of the space. The use of moldings, dark colors and upholstery that contrast with the shades of the wood helped us to create a direct and indirect warm lighting. In the service area (kitchen) a small space was created which was painted a very dark color (outside) to lose it and take away its presence; The toilet was painted in the same tone as the seats in the common area and moldings were placed in ceiling and baseboard.
