The Beeline installation occupies the entire MAAT Museum, located by the river in Lisbons Belem historic district. Large multi-storey building exhibition, designed with a special secret entrance. Directly opposite the entrance, the city uses physical space to redefine and reintegrate the relationship between local residents and the museum through the museums loading dock.

Creating a path directly through the museum to the pier, the project aims to accommodate a six-month Maat MODE experimental public program of lectures and events, an intervention that not only changes the way visitors enter and experience Maat, but also challenges the spatial hierarchy implied in traditional museums and provides flexibility for an evolving organization.

Different transparent fabrics extend into the building structure, creating a closed and open
interactive space that invites people to wander through the passage. These include sound pods,
video rooms, elevated walkways, stage sets, hammocks and even trampolines. Interesting and engaging installations promote discussion about the mores and formal identities of cultural institutions.

Galleries and museums of the future will become more flexible and resilient, with timely exhibitions that allow visitors and institutions to learn and grow together. Described by Maat MODE as a transformative gesture, the museum is transformed into a multifunctional urban stage where public life is discussed, explored, challenged, and possibly inspired towards a more inclusive and equitable future.

Walking with Beeline is an exhibition showcasing some of so-ILs short-term installations over the past decade. Entitled Ocean Currents -- Temporary Buildings Designed by SO-IL, the exhibition explores the nature of architecture and shows how So-ILs temporary projects influence their permanent work.

The architects also designed 15 mobile and reconfigurable art storage units scattered throughout the space. For zoetrope, a collection of artists private archival works and materials from the EDP Foundations Portuguese Art collection. French designer Sam Baron has developed a friendly communication system based on new health and safety regulations.

A soft and unique design language is used throughout the building, using ordinary bricks, reflective surfaces and personal graphic language to remind visitors how to respect the current rules. Beatrice Leanza and So-il marked a new era for MAAT, a huge and airy intervention.

The entrance of the green device is in the shape of a diamond with a plurality of triangular splices. The warm light shining on the door curtain seems to call the arrival of visitors, and the geometric shapes of various Spaces in the exhibition hall make the design orderly and more visual aesthetic.
