iDA Workplace created the design for the Capitaland coworking offices located in Shanghai, China.

The charm of coworking lies in “More than just work”. To fulfill this objective, iDA scattered details of leisure life into this coworking space to create a dynamic, relaxing, and cheerful working environment.

The goal of this project was to enliven the space without overdesigning it or cluttering the usable space with unnecessary complications. A 22-meter long bar running through the length of the space creates a sense of connection between reception, social working spaces and individual working spaces. iDA also added a communal area with a spectacular city view to provide an area to relax and recharge. We added geometric designs throughout the space to create a sense of cohesion and to allow for the creation of independent rooms and meeting areas. This mix of open and private spaces organically created a sense of layers within the space. iDA continued the geometric motif with the installation of light fixtures that fill the space with vitality and warmth.
