Oktra completed the office design for trademark firm Boult Wade Tennant, located in London, England.
Boult Wade Tennant is a multi-national leading intellectual property firm that was on the hunt for more social and breakout space. Oktra set about conducting design workshops to infuse their new space with more modern ways of working. Oktra were keen to dedicate part of the design to the history of patency by including a ‘stained glass’ theme – the first recorded patent in England.
To create the stained glass effect for the feature wall, Oktra surveyed samples and tests on acrylic of printed graphics to develop a true-to-life aesthetic that would echo the history of the patent. This was developed alongside the build, which was carefully coordinated to allow all the services to be installed on time.
The new office has brought agile working to the business, creating a more diverse and collaborative environment. The immaculate teapoint features diner-style booths with individual screens providing the opportunity for both formal and informal meetings. The latest technology and modern work practices have defined Boult Wade Tennant’s new office as a pioneer for future designs.
