The project is located inside a gas station in the periphery of Morelia, it is next to one of the main roads of the city which connects the western housing area with the labor need of the inner city. This gas station has been a service center and a meeting a meeting point for many years to the people that transit this route on a daily basis.

The area has grown rapidly over the past years, due to the development of social housing in the outskirts of the city and the increase in production of the agricultural zones of the state. That’s why, a light architecture conformed by steel structures and prefabricated materials is used, mainly in commercial warehouses, small businesses and economical housing, has solved the necessities of the population in a quick and effective way. A utilitarian architecture with honesty and material austerity.

该地区不断的人流量和快速的发展促使业主决定将加油站的一块空地开发成五个“商业仓库”。这种类型在当地十分受欢迎,其特点是能够满足经济,灵活性以及多功能需求。
The constant flow of people and the quick growth of the area motivated the owners to develop a subtilized parcel of the gas station with five “commercial warehouses”. Popular typology in the zone, characterized by its economy and flexibility to hold multiple uses.

设计方案很简单。根据结构网状图,体量被划分为 5 个面宽为8.5米的仓库,这样每个空间都可以有一个自由布置的轻型结构。在高度上,仓库以对称形式逐个增长1米,从而在不影响周边环境的情况下,为项目提供了层次与规模。
The proposal is simple. The terrain was divided in 5 warehouses of 8.5 meters width in the front following a structural reticule that allowed to have a light structure with free plan in each space. In its height, the warehouses grow a meter on a symmetric composition to provide hierarchy and scale to the project without affecting the neighbor construction.

建筑选材与周边建筑相一致。镀锌钢波纹板组成的立面包裹着整个建筑体,使其能够吸引街道上人群的目光。一个经济,高效而朴素的建筑良好地补足该地需求。
The material proposal follows the surroundings. A façade of galvanized steel corrugated panels wraps the project and lets the volume to be seen from the nearest road. An economic, efficient and honest project that complements the needs of the area.
