iN STUDIO has completed the design for the offices of COTY, global beauty brand, located in Toronto, Canada.

COTY, a global beauty company known for their cosmetic, skin, fragrance, and hair brands, tapped Toronto-based interior design firm, iN STUDIO, to design their new Toronto office. Following a merger, with P&G Specialty Beauty Business, Coty relocated their Toronto location from a low-rise property in the suburbs to a premium downtown space, providing a new, fresh start for all of their teams.

Embodying Coty’s feminine brand aesthetic, iN STUDIO designed the office to be reminiscent of a high-end Parisienne apartment living room. Steering away from a traditional corporate office color palette, the team opted for a delicate balance of soft pastels and neutrals. A damask film was added to glass partitions in the lobby, providing an upscale texture. Velvet accents and chandeliers offer additional soft touches while the open white ceiling maximizes light throughout the space.

Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a bright reception that immediately showcases the luxury aesthetic of the Coty brand. A crushed velvet ceiling and wall details add to the ambiance. Nearby, the large cafe provides an alternative environment for both clients and employees. Doubling as a collaborative work area, the cafe provides ample space for socializing, break outs, and quiet reflection. Pulling inspiration from a classic French bistro, the design team integrated a mix of white marble tables that juxtapose with dark leather seating..

Opting for a completely open floor plan, a variety of benching serves as workstations for all employees including company leaders. Looking to foster interaction between teams, custom grey tables and overstuffed armchairs serve as collaboration zones in between the work stations. The workspace also features a retail showroom for mocking up store displays. A fragrance room, showcasing the brand’s full collection of perfumes, doubles as an additional meeting room.

Since the completion of the Toronto office, iN STUDIO has also designed Coty’s Montreal office and Wella Studio T.O. – a 5,000 square-foot education studio and corporate offices for Wella Professionals, one of Coty’s iconic brands. iN STUDIO specializes in creating one-of-a-kind workplace solutions bringing brands to life within their space and meeting each client where they’re at.
