kendle design collaborative设计的沙漠之翼住宅，呈现出一个由索诺兰沙漠的基地特殊情况而派生出来的设计。厚实地夯出来的土墙从发掘出来的土壤和混凝土分割块中铸就出来，形成了拥有直接视线和隐私性的多种多样的空间，并使用了土壤的质量来吸收热量，使白天之中的热量阻挡在室内空间之外，同时在寒冷的沙漠夜晚中释放出来。这个带角度的出挑屋檐结构用细长的钢柱子支撑在外部墙体的高度之上，并围绕着每一个内部空间开了狭长的天窗。深悬的屋顶使得全玻璃幕墙得以实现，并朝向地形和半私密庭院开启。

kendle design collaborative erects a design derived by the particular conditions of the site on the sonoran desert. thick rammed earth walls cast from the excavated dirt and concrete partitions form various rooms with directed views and privacy, using their mass to absorb heat, repelling it from the inside during the day while releasing it during the cold desert nights. the angular canopy structure is suspended above the height of the exterior walls on slender steel columns opening thin clerestory windows surrounding each interior space. the deep overhang of the roof allows for full glass walls that open up onto the landscape and semi-private courtyards.
