We want to share an interesting architecture project by Pepe Cabrera Arquitectura e interiorismothat creates a modern home without renouncing the roots of traditional country houses, in which Magma by Inalco has been chosen as floor and wall tile.
This project by Pepe Cabrerais located in Marina Alta in Alicante and is characterized by updating the concept of classic stone country houses, creating a modern home in white tones that conveys the charm of our heritage.
At first glance, a main highlight is the decorative use of the stone walls supporting the whole building, which are also present in the exterior walls of the property, becoming the true protagonist in all rooms.
Natural wood and high ceilings are also key elements. A wooden table built with long trunks stands out in the dining-room, conveying solidity and robustness to this space. In addition, on the fireplace room, large wooden beams decorate the ceiling, another recovered traditional element that suggest a must-know history. Wooden flooring has also been chosen in the upper floor.
On the ground floor, Magmacollection in Moka colour and a 100×100 cm format has been chosen as main flooring and step-tiles. It perfectly combines with all these elements and helps to highlight a modern and rustic aesthetic. Inspired by natural basalt stone, it helps us to keep in touch with nature in its purest version. Also noteworthy are the elegant step-tiles made with this material, which cover with a single piece each step, eliminate joints and provide greater aesthetic continuity.
