1964 - The Architecture of the First Tokyo Olympics
I am very pleased to announce a new photographic series, 1964, created in collaboration with Pen Magazine International. I photographed the extant architecture of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, including some of the most iconic modern structures by Architects Kenzo Tange and Yoshinobu Ashihara. I explored the story behind their modern concrete form, "photographing them as they are: arcs and lines of modernity in the final summer of the Heisei era"
