在湖州这样一个江南水乡的城市，对于一个10万平米规模的市民服务中心，设计的挑战难度让人有点胆战心惊，更何况其位置在市政府大楼正后方。当初的想法是如何化解作为行政人员在给普通市民办理各种事物过程中有一个良好的心情，市民在排队等候办事的过程中不再无聊焦急，基于这么一个美好的愿景，对功能进行重置分类，在各功能区之间植入各种景观院落，立体上通过各种“桥” 接，在室内与室外之间不停的变换，最终形成各种或近借，或远借，或仰借，或俯借的空间体验。
In Huzhou, such a beautiful watery city in the south of the Yangtze River, the design task of the project was very challenging and even tough, not only because it covered an area of 100,000 square meters, but also because it was right behind the municipal government building. The design vision was to help the staff who were responsible for complicated work to keep a good mood and make the public calm down when waiting for service. Based on such a nice vision, the functions were reset and classified, and various landscape courtyards were implanted between the functional areas, In stereoscopic vision, connections were made by various “bridges” making the view changes constantly between indoor and outdoor. Finally, the spacial experience was formed from the near, the far, the higher or the lower side.

市民在漫长的等候及路径过程中体验的这种场所氛围似乎与传统的行政建筑严肃的氛围完全相反，在这种场所氛围下，呈现的是一种诗意般的宁静，闲适，轻松，亲切，这些氛围最终在材料和细节上进一步强化，主要外墙抛弃常规冰冷的石材，采取的是浅米黄色厚浆质感涂料，具有阴影的表面质感使得建筑表情在一天不停的发生微妙的变化，正如江南典型的涂料白墙一样呈现出异曲同工之妙。
In the long waiting or walking process, people feel the workplace, differently from under the other traditional administrative building’ serious atmosphere, under a poetic quiet, leisurely, relaxed, cordial atmosphere. These atmospheres were eventually strengthened by materials and other details. The main external walls abandoned the conventional cold stone, taking a light beige yellow thick layer of texture paint, The shadow of the wall surface made the building’s expression change subtly throughout the whole day, which had the equally satisfactory results with the typical white walls in the south of the Yangtze River delta.

在施工方极具热情的配合下，最终实现了对墙面涂料无缝的效果。而正是这种看是失尺度的处理手法，使得建筑表皮几乎没有任何的装饰性，身处其中似乎不会注意到建筑立面的纯在，唯有其中的空间氛围，这种纯粹的背景墙面也为窗户提供了各种可能性，窗户反而成为空间的一个主角，也成为人与自然之间的一种诗意般的沟通方式。
With the enthusiastic cooperation of the construction team, the final effect of the wall paint was perfect with no gap. Almost without any decoration, people in the building could ignore the surface of it, just immerse in the spacial atmosphere. The pure background wall also offered various possibilities for the window, the window has become a leading space, had become a kind of poetic communication way between man and nature.

整个项目从设计到建成使用时间长达6年，期间各种因素也使项目保留了不少不完美，但完美与否已不重要，正如当初施工队的项目经理兴致勃勃的给我介绍墙面施工方法以及怎么四处寻找最合适的涂料一样，正是因为他是用情感在营造诗意的空间，而这种用情感营造出的空间显然更加具有亲和力与生命的张力，也许这就是这个建筑最美的部分了。
The project took 6 years from design to completion. Although with some regrets due to various factors, the result was perfect or not was not that important any more. As the original project manager of the construction team excitedly introduced the wall construction method to the design group and showed how to look for the most appropriate coating from anywhere, we found that he was building a poetic space with emotion. Such a space obviously had more affinity with the tension of life, perhaps this was the most beautiful part of the building.
