The Cosmopolitan Lounge Cafè is a Trattopunto’s project.
It is situated in the historical centre of Matera, in a strategic position between the central train station and the centre of the city.
The restoration of the place has grown following the “New York theme”: the worldwide cosmopolitan City (hence the name of the pub) means opportunity for interaction among people, cultures, languages and human expressions.
The space is displaced on two levels: the coffee area on the ground floor and the lounge one on the raised floor.
The walls on the ground floor are covered with a mosaic reminding the skyline of the Big Apple.
This coating extends along the floor too, reproducing a grey coloured multi stripes texture.
With a mirror trick, the presence of skyscrapers is reverberated trough the pub as in kaleidoscope.
