Dental practice design trends currently follow the rest of the healthcare industry with an emphasis on enhancing the patient care experience. Dentists want their offices to inspire confidence so patients feel comfortable during their procedures.
At Benco Dental’s showroom in Orange County, California, dental practitioners walk through a series of vignettes that showcase completely designed office concepts in a range of styles, themes and price points. While dental office design is largely about treatment preferences and technicalities, office aesthetic helps differentiate each client’s practice from those in their area.
Aesthetics is the first factor Sarah Gorden-Stauffer, M.Int.Arch., an interior designer with Benco, considers – starting with the flooring, which provides the literal foundation used to build up the finished palette. She also looks at the flooring’s function and longevity, since it needs to operate the same as flooring in a hospital or any medical care environment as far as its cleanliness. Dental office concepts in the showroom feature Patcraft’s Stratified+ resilient in Frost, Shale and Capri, and nature-inspired resilient from the Adesa collection in Bellow. A pediatric dentistry practice might feature bright colors and bold patterns, while a restorative dentistry practice in Beverly Hills might embrace a sleek, contemporary aesthetic.
Benco Dental’s showroom features Patcraft flooring in a wide array of colors and styles to suit diverse applications and tastes. Each part of the dental office is considered: lobby, treatment rooms, office space, labs. There are plenty of options so each client can create a highly individualized aesthetic.
“Patcraft has a great product, and the data that they provide on noise abatement and other factors, as well as their website access to utilize design tools, are great.”
