The new exposition space finds itself within a vast requalification and reorganisational intervention of the entire Secco Sistemi Ltd industrial complex. The building acquires symbolic value, being representative of the overall new company image, it stands out at multiple levels from a pure architectural point of view to a technological one.
Differing itself from all the surrounding production units, it moulds a clear "hierarchy" that is instantly perceptible to the eye. On the formal side a net choice was made to use soft and sinuous lines, as opposed to the rigid geometry characterising all others buildings that it had to somehow echo.
The sinuous line winds around the existing trees that become, just as the rest of the surrounding greenery, substantial elements of this project. The architectural choice for wide open spaces, naturally enlightened by way of atransparent shell in a play of light and shadow, has been the leitmotif underlying the design process in order to meet the client’s need.
