This project, Museum of Ancient Culture the Silk Road journey which is located in Marina el Alamein In Egypt is shaping a perception the revive of “lucaseps”the old Greco- Roman village. This village has a historical background and it’s the heritage of El Alamein city, it’s connected with other villages and ruins in the location of Maria. This area is a commercial area and it was the trade center between Egypt and the rest of the world .The museum revive the “Silk Road” history which it was the link between the old Civilizations and it unite them together, One of them is the ancient Egyptian Civilization which it was the trade center with a group of old harbors, bridging the gap between the east and the west. يتناول مشروع متحف الحضارات القديمه الذي يقع في منطقة مارينا العلمين في مصر قضية اعادة احياء منطقه تراثيه قديمه و هي قريه"لوكاسيبس" في الفتره اليونانيه الرومانيه هذه القريه من ضمن مجموعه كبيره من الاثار و القرى في منطقة ماريا ,تعتبر هذه المنطقه تجاريه في هذه الفتره وكانت بمثابة مركز تجاري و حلقة وصل بين مصر و باقي دول العالمويعيد المتحف احياء الطريق التجاري "طريق الحرير" الذي كان يمر بمجموعه من اهم الحضارات و من ضمنهم الحضاره المصريه , من اهمهم الموانئ القديمه التي كانت تقع في الاسكندريه و العلمين و مصر بشكل عام ,وهذه الموانئ كانت بمثابه حلقة الوصل والمركز التجاري بين الشرق و الغرب
HARBOUR OF LEUCASIPS
THE VISITORS JOURNEY :-Marina el-Alamein in 2014 and 2015 included research and conservationin the public district of the ancient town as well as in private houses. Research wasfocused foremost on research, conservation and exhibition of monuments in the area north of the central town square, especially the remains of public baths dating from the Hellenistic period. Research and conservation continued also in the area southof the central square, concentrating on the remains of Roman baths in use fromthe 2nd to the 4th century AD. Current maintenance and conservation were carried out in private houses and in the area south of the central square.
