Clark Nexsen designed the state-of-the-art Henderson County Health Sciences Center located in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
The Henderson County Health Sciences Center integrates healthcare delivery and healthcare education in a high-tech facility that joins three separate entities: Pardee Hospital, Wingate University, and Blue Ridge Community College. Developed by Henderson County, the vision for this innovative collaboration focused on providing both premier healthcare education opportunities and a world class cancer center to the Hendersonville community. The combination of professional and educational programs and the potential for creative discovery and advancement became the catalyst for the design. Themes of transparency, connectivity, engagement, and collaboration are evident throughout the design of the facility. The building’s interior campus façade is transparent, promoting an active exchange between the facility and the main hospital and connecting interior and exterior environments.
