Gensler was tasked with creating a space for students at the Christine E. Lynn University Center in Boca Raton, Florida.
The University Center is the heart of Lynn, a place that becomes an extension of home. Merging a youthful vibe with a comfortable home-away-from-home atmosphere the building has all the components that provide support, connectivity, and entertainment. Open gathering spaces are defined by translucent screens and frames, creating comfortable small-scale spaces for students to feel at home, while connecting with the larger whole. The architecture unifies the interior and exterior environment through transparent layers that frame activity within. Exterior forms and materiality continue inside in order to blur the lines between inside and outside.
