The new visitors centre at the Hill of Uisneach opened its doors at the very end of July. The new centre, constructed in corten steel, contrasts against the old rendered cottage building. The amphitheater and public space between, joins the two contrasting structures together, creating a homogeneous whole.

“The new Uisneach Visitor Centre is a remarkable story in so many ways … for the first time in recorded history we have a ‘welcoming space’ for those coming to the sacred Hill out of curiosity or seeking renewal. On top of this, the process of delivering the Centre was as important as the physically electrifying result … cooperation, skill, imagination and sensitivity all combined to give us a new type of heritage visitor centre. ” Alan Hill (November 08th, 2016)
