A brand of furniture printed on a 3D printer using innovative wood printing technologies. The brand is based in Oakland, California. De Stul offers a wide range of different one-of-a-kind furniture that is both art and home decor.
The idea behind the packaging is to represent the layered texture that a 3D printer leaves behind when printed. This is depicted through the use of many layers of corrugated cardboard. A hole is cut out inside the cardboard where the interior item is placed and the whole thing is closed with two hardboard covers on both sides.
In total, the line of developed packaging includes three categories of interior items: vases, candlesticks, table lamps. In addition, there is a separate package of furniture care products.
There is a single layout system for the entire SKU. All information is located on the bottom cover. On the front of the cover is the product name, as well as its category. More detailed information is also printed on the left, and a white label with as much detailed information as possible is affixed to the right.
De Stul provides not only small interior items such as vases and table lamps, but also large-sized furniture: chairs, tables, chandeliers. So, packaging for De Stul furniture was developed. Furniture is usually not displayed in packaging on a shelf in a store. However, the packaging is present during storage in warehouses or transportation. It is important for buyers to receive positive emotions when opening the box, so these packages were also designed. Furniture packaging is a classic cardboard box on which graphics and typography and additional information are printed in the style of packaging small home furnishings.
