Intervenção Arquitetônica em um bairro consolidadoDisciplina de Planejamento Arquitetônico 8Curso de Arquitetura e UrbanismoUniversidade Federal de PernambucoO Diagnóstico Urbanístico do Bairro dos Coelhos, na Cidade do Recife, em Pernambuco, reune uma série de dados que indicam ser este um lugar com características "populares", pertencente à região central, onde a maior parte das edificações é de uso habitacional. Por assim ser, o bairro ainda é classificado como uma Zona Especial de Interesse Social, margeia o Rio Capibaribe e abriga um importantíssimo hospital público chamado IMIP, onde o público de enfoque são as crianças tanto do Recife quanto do interior de Pernambuco e região. Considerando o restrito orçamento do hospital, bem como a falta de leitos para abrigar os familiares das crianças em tratamento (muitas mães são flagradas dormindo no terraço do pavimento térreo do edifício, já que não podem permoitar no leito dos filhos), e considerando ainda que o objetivo da disciplina era "habitação", considerei a hipótese de desenvolver uma "casa de apoio" hospitalar, abrigando então os familiares destas crianças.Uma vez definido o objeto, tratei de encontrar um terreno passível de utilização e próximo ao hospital existente. E assim, considerando e/ou refutando conscientemente as disposições legais no que diz respeito ao que e como pode ser edificado dentro de uma Zona Especial de Interesse Social, iniciei o projeto. O terreno pussuia uma edificação cuja fachada incidia sobre a testada do lote, localizava-se de frente para o hospital IMIP e atendia à metragem correspondente à demanda pressuposta.Mantendo a edificação existente e adequando-a para um novo e compatível uso, determinei então que o projeto contaria com a nova edificação (a ser construída), bem como com a existente (a ser mantida). A primeira se destinaria aos quartos, apoio hospitalar e enfermaria, e a segunda, ao restaurante comunitário e à administração. The land occupied a building whose facade was on the tested of the lot, was located in front of the IMIP hospital and served the footage corresponding to the presupposed demand.Keeping the existing building and adapting it to a new and compatible use, I then determined that the project would have the new building (to be built) as well as the existing one (to be maintained). The first would be for the rooms, hospital support and infirmary, and the second, the community restaurant and administration. In this way, the whole complex would complement the logic of the IMIP hospital, solving part of the existing housing problem.
