Dodoni Ice Cream's Store redesign _ 2014
Design team: Sotiris Tsergas | Katja Margaritoglou | Anna Perela | Pachy Lenia
The company Dodoni assigned to Block 722 architects+, through a closed competition, the complete study (including Tender documents) of a pilot store. Aim of the study was to provide every detail possible in order to rennovate the majority of the company’s stores. Our need to create a store that enhances the experience of the customer, led to the design of contemporary space that transforms traditional items. Most of the furniture (tables, counters, chairs) are custom made. The use of bold illustrations throughout the store accenuates the “freshness” of the new concept. In the interior of the store, main focal point is the massive wooden counter, that invites the customer to a new visual and tasty experience. The bottom of the windows translated into benches (both interior and exterior), creating a continuity and blurring the limits between what’s inside and what’s out. Raw materials, such us concrete tiles, and wooden surfaces were used to bring out textures and volumes.
