This office building is located within the heart of industrial Wola and is adjacent to the Warsaw Uprising Museum. The seven-story A+ office building is state of the art, setting new standards in office design. The modern glass and basalt façade is simultaneously avant-garde in its expression and fitting for the industrial surroundings.
The reception desk in the entrance hall is visually connected with the balustrade of the mezzanine and a fragment of the conference room wall on the first floor. All surfaces are finished in the same material—hand-hammered copper cladding. An additional layer of lacquer prevents oxidation and creates a shimmering effect as the color interacts with the changing intensity of natural light entering the building. Consequently, the cladding transforms in appearance throughout the course of the day.
The remaining walls of the hall are clad in polished basalt tiles. The dark, matte surface of the stone creates an ideal contrast to the shiny copper.
The materials lend the interior an elegant character that is very appropriate for its function: the head office of the Polish Bank BPS.
