设计亮点
融合传统与当代元素,打造富有活力的艺术展示空间。

念夏艺术中心基于大同古城东南邑艺术底蕴之下建造,延续東南邑“保护、利用、活化”的城市有机更新理念,是一座传统与现代审美相融的当代艺术场馆。它位于古城东南隅最北侧,一个半开放街角界面,与大同古城内标志性建筑之一的太平楼隔街相望。建筑将交融并蓄的游览路线、礼乐相成的哲思融于整体格局的规划设计之中,将古城的自然之境与现代交互式生活体验有机结合。

Nianxia Art Center is a contemporary art venue that blends traditional and modern aesthetics, based on the artistic heritage of Dongnanup, the ancient city of Datong, and continues the concept of organic urban renewal of Dongnanup, which is to “protect, utilize, and revitalize”. It is located in the northernmost part of the southeastern corner of the ancient city, a semi-open corner interface, and one of the landmarks of the ancient city of Datong, Taiping Building, across the street. The building incorporates the philosophy of the eclectic tour routes and rituals into the overall pattern of the planning and design, combining the natural environment of the ancient city with the modern interactive living experience.

建筑以传统合院文化为蓝本,古建新制,充分利用现代建造技术,既保留传统古建韵律,又拥有现代艺术空间的舒适度,用当代的建筑语境去处理屋顶、墙身、基座材质等古建元素于现代建筑空间在时间与空间层面与城市文化及场地周边道路、太平楼、圣母圣心堂等环境空间的共生关系,融合大同地域文化及现代时尚文化,使文化不只是一种回忆或回看,更是在未来遇见时的回味和回响,甚至是在空间交互中的回应,积极打造出的文化艺术展示新空间。

The architect takes the traditional courtyard culture as the blueprint, the ancient building new system, makes full use of the modern construction technology, not only retains the traditional ancient building rhythm, but also has the comfort of the modern art space, and uses the contemporary architectural context to deal with the symbiotic relationship of the ancient building elements such as roofs, walls, base materials, and other elements of the modern architectural space at the level of time and space with the city’s culture and the surrounding roads of the site, the Taiping Building, and the Church of the Holy Mother of God and the Sacred Heart of Mary and other environmental spaces. Integration of Datong regional culture and modern fashion culture, so that culture is not just a memory or look back, but also in the future when encountered in the flavor and echo, and even in the spatial interaction of the response, and actively create a new space for cultural and artistic display.

景观空间包含入口广场、建筑背后巷道、建筑屋顶三个区域。建筑打开街角开敞空间,将景观延申至院落内部,与太平楼和天主教堂形成轴线与视线的交互。结合保护区现状建筑,围合出多个庭院,提供更多角度景观视角,形成演绎后院落。

The landscape space consists of three areas: the entrance plaza, the alleyway behind the building, and the roof of the building. The building opens up the corner open space, extends the landscape to the interior of the courtyard, and interacts with the Taiping Mansion and the Catholic Church to form an axis and line of sight. Combined with the existing buildings in the conservation area, multiple courtyards are enclosed to provide more landscape perspectives and form the interpretation of the backyard.

当一座现代艺术建筑面对传统阁楼建筑,两者之间的对话关系,便是设计师在该项目中想要表现的重点。入口是一个向内包裹向外打开呈弧线型的不规则城市街角。在平面构成上,设计师放弃了古城传统空间中所常用的方正格局,而是将弧线从边界向内延伸,以流畅的线条勾勒出一个更具包容和活力的入口广场。在空间形态上,以大同的自然山川为灵感,提取山峦线条,模拟大地山川的起伏变化。以向上延伸、流畅多维的起翘地形构造,表达出拔地而起,冲破束缚的当代艺术先锋理念。

When a modern art building faces a traditional loft building, the dialog between the two is the focus of the designers in this project. The entrance is an irregular urban corner that wraps inward and opens outward in a curved shape. In terms of plan composition, the designer abandons the square pattern commonly used in the traditional space of the old city, and instead extends the arc from the boundary inward, outlining a more inclusive and energetic entrance plaza with smooth lines. In terms of spatial form, inspired by the natural mountains and rivers of Datong, the designer extracted the lines of the mountains to simulate the ups and downs of the earth’s mountains and rivers. The upward stretching, smooth and multi-dimensional structure of the rising and falling terrain expresses the pioneering concept of contemporary art that rises up from the ground and breaks through the constraints.

构筑物上扬勾勒出的角度与街对面太平楼建筑顶部所仰起的弧度一致,也是对于传统建筑的致敬与呼应。起翘构筑物的弧度、体量、高度需结合整个艺术中心整体体量精细考量,保证与周边环境相融合,设计师需要反复研磨计算。

The rising angle of the structure is the same as that of the top of the Taiping Building on the opposite side of the street, which is also a tribute and echo of the traditional architecture. The curvature, volume, and height of the uplifted structure need to be considered in conjunction with the overall volume of the entire art center to ensure integration with the surrounding environment, and the designer needs to make repeated calculations.

这是一个从平面到立面都渐变扭转的多曲面三维结构,构筑物的厚度、角度都随着形态的变化而变化。立面的每一级梯步都不等高,弧线的高度也在不停渐变,结构极为复杂。设计的需要从横向、纵向、竖向三个维度确认每个点位,定点定标高,现场再根据设计图进行放线,明确每个点精准的位置。

It is a multi-surface three-dimensional structure with gradual torsion from the plane to the façade, and the thickness and angle of the structure change with the morphology. Each step of the façade is unequal in height, and the height of the curved lines is constantly changing, making the structure extremely complex. The design needs to confirm each point from the three dimensions of horizontal, vertical, and vertical, fix the point and set the elevation, and then release the line according to the design drawings on site to clarify the precise position of each point.

铺装材料选用的是具有自然纹理,线条流畅的浅黄色大理石,这样的材质色调在古城灰色调的空间中容易跳脱出。如此,一个线条流畅的立体景观艺术构筑才得以落地。林下漫步,台阶休憩,叠瀑互动,剧场参与,起伏的地形丰富空间的同时也生成了更具活力的舞台空间。设计在满足美学的基础之上,也赋予了它更多的功能。

The paving material chosen is a light yellow marble with natural texture and smooth lines, so that the material tone in the grey-toned space of the old city can be certain to jump out. In this way, a smooth landscape art construction can be realized. Walking under the forest, resting on the steps, interacting with the cascading waterfalls, participating in the theater, the undulating terrain enriches the space and generates a more energetic stage space at the same time.

后巷庭院原本是建筑与建筑之间的逼仄巷道,它的一侧是历史文化街区建筑的背立面,另一侧是艺术馆室内向外看的建筑落地窗,本身是一个难以利用的消极空间。历史文化街区面的建筑墙立面还残存一米多高的红砖裸露在外,对艺术馆的落地窗视野产生更加不利影响。

The back alley courtyard was originally a cramped alleyway between buildings, with the back façade of the building in the historical and cultural district on one side, and the floor-to-ceiling windows of the building looking out from the interior of the art gallery on the other, which is a negative space that is difficult to utilize in itself. The wall facade of the building on the historic district side still has more than one meter of exposed red bricks, which has an even more negative impact on the view of the floor-to-ceiling windows of the art gallery.

景观设计师利用了错落的靠墙台阶来消解掉背景红砖影响,同时也增加了一处户外休闲区。台阶局部色彩形态以大同火山口画卷为灵感,利用金属锈板去表达热烈滚烫的火山口,用叠级的方式去创作更具展示性的空间。

The landscape designer utilized the staggered steps against the wall to eliminate the influence of the red bricks in the background, and at the same time added an outdoor relaxation area. The local color pattern of the steps is inspired by the Datong caldera scrolls, using rusted metal plates to express the hot caldera, and using the stacked steps to create a more exhibition space.

一楼建筑屋顶同样也是一个原本不被利用的消极空间。当人的视线从二楼平台望出去,非常近距离逼近一楼建筑屋顶,视线受阻碍且感到压抑。

The roof of the first-floor building is also a negative space that would otherwise not be utilized. When one looks out from the second-floor terrace, one is very close to the roof of the first-floor building, and the view is obstructed and oppressive.

但站在这个屋顶,却可以获得欣赏大同古城建筑顶面空间的开阔视野。所以在这个区域,设计的思路是将原本封闭常规的屋顶结合露台,改造为一处可以让人参与进来的观景社交平台,利用斜面屋顶,布置台阶看台。

However, standing on this roof, one can get an open view to appreciate the top space of Datong ancient city buildings. Therefore, in this area, the idea of the design is to transform the original closed conventional roof combined with the terrace into a social platform for people to participate in the view, using the sloping roof and arranging the steps to look at the terrace.

看台上点缀的幻彩玻璃装置,会根据天空的颜色,光线的变化变化出不一样的色彩,将大同的粉色晚霞映照其中,也是灰色建筑群中一抹明亮温暖的色彩。现代与传统碰撞,时尚与艺术结合,一个开放的,共享的,自由生长的,具有先锋性的当代艺术景观空间由此生成。

The illusionary glass installations embellished on the grandstand will change different colors according to the color of the sky and the light, reflecting the pink evening sunlight of the Cosmos, as well as a splash of bright and warm colors in the grey architectural complex. Modernity and tradition collide, fashion and art combine, and an open, shared, free-growing, pioneering contemporary art landscape space is created.
