The project is a restoration. An operation that emphasises the existent, recovering it and establishing new readings of a reality. Permanent elements are contemplated, as well as wall-paintings, tiles and the main spatial structures. From these elements, the change is implemented, adding value to them. The new elements follow the history of the building with the autonomy of their time, integrated in a logic of the ‘whole’, established as the sum of all its construction eras.

(PT) O projecto é um restauro. Uma operação que põe em evidência o existente, recupera e estabelece leituras sobre uma realidade. Consideram-se elementos permanentes, pinturas, azulejos e estruturas espaciais principais. Partindo destes, e para os valorizar, completa-se a alteração. Os elementos novos seguem, com uma autonomia do seu tempo, a história do edifício, integrados numa lógica do todo que se estabelece a partir do somatório de todas as épocas de construção.
