hansen partnership团队受到维多利亚公园管理机构的邀请，将要对麦肯基瀑布周边的风景做一个改造。众所周知，该地区在2012年的上半年曾遭遇过洪水袭击，当时导致了该公园人行桥的坍塌，在经过几年的景观修复后，这里依然是当地人放松身心的首选场所。在这片公园保护区内，设计团队与维多利亚公园的职工密切合作，对这里的自然景观做了大致的修整，使之与旁边的瀑布是从视觉上结合的更加紧密。

We were engaged by Parks Victoria to prepare a concept plan for the MacKenzie Falls. Precinct under their flood recovery program after floods caused the destruction of a key footbridge in early 2012. We worked closely with Parks Victoria staff to gain an appreciation of the natural setting close to the cascading waterfall within the reserve.

Innovation was integral to the analysis and design process given the remote location and lack of conventional data. Accessibility was a major challenge. The site is 3.5 hours drive from Melbourne and a further half hour on foot across steep terrain. Quality aerial photography and survey information was unavailable; so gathering information on site was crucial.
