Sher Maker 是泰国清迈的一家小型建筑设计工作室，对建筑施工背后的过程和意义怀有极大兴趣。该工作室致力于研究当地技术和材料背景下的建筑形式起源以及对建筑物周围自然环境和氛围的设计。为此他们经常研究建造的各种可能性，并尝试不同的材料工艺。与制造商和工匠的协作是工作室的一种文化，他们享受其中并不断学习提高自己。

Sher Maker is an architectural design studio with an interest in the process and meaning behind building construction.

We are interested in the origins of architectural formations which depend on the context of local technology and materials.

We also interest in the design of the atmosphere that surrounds the building in both physical and ambiance.

Since we are a small studio settle in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Therefore, we still have time to study the possibilities of construction and often experiment with different materials process.

Coordination with a team of maker and craftsmen is a culture within the organization that we enjoy and learn to improve ourselves.

当 Sher Maker 坚定了以这种方式进行专业性的探索时，便选择了一块空地进行工作室工作空间的设计，场地原本的一棵巨型洋槐树覆盖了整个区域。工作室的整体建筑由一个人字形屋顶覆盖，内部分为 2 层共 3-4 个工作空间，分别用于材料测试、家具建模等。

When there is a strong determination and intention to pursue this profession in this way, We started designing a studio workspace on a vacant lot. Which originally was a giant acacia tree-lined up and covered the area, We design a working area under a simple gable roof. The interior is divided into 2 floors, containing 3-4 units of working space. Used for material testing, furniture mock-up.

中部共享空间既是用餐区，也是会议区，一直延伸到水边的生活空间。

Sharing middle space is both a lunch desk, meeting section until the living area next to the waterfront.

工作室对面的屋檐下方区域是用于材料测试和施工的车间。整体设计意图是让内部和外部空间相互联系，并在一个工作氛围浓厚的环境中相互融合。

The area under the eaves across from the studio is set up as a workshop station for material testing and construction work. The intention is to give the interior and exterior space to link and almost blend in with each other in an environment that we are impressed during working.

建筑的结构仅由旧木和钢制框架建造而成，金属板屋顶的末梢一直延伸到地面上，略微浮于地表。这样的设计既可以使人集中注意力，也可以使室内空间免受外部干扰。

The structure of the building is simply built from old wooden and steel frames. The tip of the Metal sheet roof was dropped across the ground, floating vaguely above the original surface. It serves both to concentrate the studio user and conceal the interior space from external distractions.

门厅地面采用易获得的材料接地，包括来自附近窑炉的砖和建筑砾石，以减少现有地板和新建筑物之间的接缝。

The foyer floor grounded with material that is easy to find, including brick from a neighborhood kiln and construction gravel to reduce the joints between the existing floor and new buildings.

在这座建筑的设计和建造过程中有许多限制和困难，在建造完成之前 Sher Maker 并不知道它确切的风格或形状。但当这座建筑建成并使用了将近一年后，它就成为了 Sher Maker 日常生活的一部分。人们会在不知不觉中走进该区域，会在工作期间和下班后一起在其中进行活动。四季的自然之声和温度，甚至树枝的碎片、落叶都几乎和大厅内部融为一体。可以说，它虽是一座简陋的小建筑，却包含了 Sher Maker 很多的建筑经验。

During the design and construction of this building, We have no idea of the exact language or shape of the architecture that is being formed. It was a building that was built with many limitations and also full of pitfalls.

But when the building was completed and in use for almost a year, it became a real part of our daily lives. We walked into the area without even knowing it. Activities that occur together during and after work.

The natural sounds and temperatures of the seasons, or even the fragments of the branches, the fallen leaves, almost become the same as the interior of the hall. It could be said that it was a small building that was located in a humble way but contains a lot of our architectural experience.
