Colori intensi, trame ricercate: quando l'esperienza gustativa si pregusta nel design.

Aja Mola prende il nome da un antico canto intonato dai pescatori durante la mattanza. Una trattoria contemporanea dove il pesce e i vini naturali sono i protagonisti indiscussi. Il locale si affaccia su via Cassari, la strada che dal mercato della Vucciria arriva al mare della Cala di Palermo. La cucina a vista rivela lo spirito informale del locale, in perfetto stile Vucciria. A dare il benvenuto all’ingresso c’è la vetrina del pescato del giorno e dei frutti di mare. Gli interni prendono in prestito i colori dagli abissi marini, trame sacre e profane ricordano, come panni stesi al vento, testimoniano i millenni di colonizzazioni che scorrono nelle nostre vene. Branchi di lampade in ceramica volteggiano sui tavoli in marmo e legno, a testimoniare l’abbondanza della nostra terra.

Tutti gli arredi sono stati disegnati su misura e realizzati artigianalmente. Le pareti hanno mantenuto i rivestimenti originali, che attraverso fame,  ricchezza e povertà sono arrivati sino ad oggi, e raccontano il loro fascino.

Aja Mola takes its name from an ancient song tune by fishermen during slaughter. A Contemporary Trattoria where fish and natural wines are the undisputed protagonists. The restaurant overlooks via cassari, the road that from the Vucciria market arrives at the sea front, called Cala, in Palermo (Italy). The kitchen on sight reveals the informal spirit of the restaurant, in perfect Vucciria's style. Like a warm welcome, at the entrance there is the window of the fresh fish of the day and seafood. The interiors borrow the colors from the seabed, sacre and profane textures, as cloths lying in the wind, Witness the millennia of settlements that flow in our veins. Flocks of ceramic lamps twirl on marble and wood tables, to witness the abundance of our land.

All furnishings have been tailor-made and handcrafted in Sicily. The walls have kept the original coatings, which through hunger, wealth and poverty have arrived until today, and tell their charm.
