Looking to unify its brand and translate its core values into its workplace environment, global investment firm, Invesco, enlisted Gensler to conceptualize and design a new environmental graphics and wayfinding program for its Atlanta-based headquarters. Inspired by the company’s global reach and breadth of experience, Gensler designed a series of custom filigree patterns, created through the repetition of various currency symbols, as primary graphic modules. Serving as a narrative thread throughout the space, the distinct and elegant patterns are incorporated into custom fabrics, fritted glass, privacy screens and laser-etched metal plates and act as subtle wayfinding and orientation devices. The client’s satisfaction with the brand design led to the development of corresponding graphic standards across all Invesco offices.
