For the latest edition of the Get Set Art Festival 2015 - a festival on art and creativity that takes place every year in Oporto and had Embrace the Unexpected as the title for its latest edition of 2014 - the double Maria Pedras & Frederico Roeber created the installation Rise, displayed at the Arrivals Terminal of Francisco Sá Carneiro's Airport, wherein the unexpected started at the arrival of the artists, when being greeted by this project. This festival has innovation and creativity as its mottos and it's based on that idea that the "Gateway" to the city and the festival was built with 700 paper planes, witch symbolize youth, creativity and freedom in the Japanese culture.
After its exibition at the airport, Rise was also in exhibition at Kubik Gallery and finally at Shair art Gallery. This installation intends to show the different sides on the work of this young duo, and claim the several possibilities that come from the association between design and architecture, when allied to innovation and freedom of creation.
Rise was also a Winner at the A'Design award
