多少平方米算花园？How many ㎡ has a paradise?

业主刚刚搬进他们的新房子的时候，已经是春天了，要开始修整花园似乎为时已晚，而且新房子吞噬了大部分预算，所以唯一的解决方案就是：速溶花园。我们通过这种形式，在一个小型地块上满足了业主对花园的渴望。低预算对项目概念和材料选择来说都是一个不小的挑战。

The young family has just moved into their new house. It was already spring, almost too late to start a garden project. And the new house devoured most of the budget. One possible solution: INSTANT GARDEN. The yearning for a garden was realized on a mini lot. A low budget was a challenge for the concept and the selection of materials.

材料 Materials

温尼伯是一个每年都会遭遇洪水问题的城市，因此沙袋也成为了人们共同记忆的一部分，甚至有几年的融雪期，到处都是白色沙袋墙。这些沙袋如果没有受到污染，其实可以重复使用。

Winnipeg is a city with annual periodic flood issues. Sandbagging is part of people’s common memory. In some years walls of white sandbags are all over the place during snowmelt. Sandbags can be reused if they are not contaminated.

材料的控制性利用、材料的再生，以及它们向新环境的转化，便是即时花园的关键所在。重新定义后的廉价艺术和拼贴概念在项目中发挥了重要作用。

花园的主体由白色沙袋和绿色蔬菜组成，周围的洒水装置有时还能提供凉爽的体验。你可以把花园看作菜园、巨大的沙地或私人海滩，这完全取决于你个人的角度和兴趣，但它绝对会受到蝴蝶和家里小孩的欢迎！

The controlled reuse, the second life of materials and their transformation into a new context is key for INSTANT GARDEN. Reclaiming the concepts of Arte Povera and Bricolage played a major role.

The body of the garden is composed of white sandbags and eatable greenery. A sprinkler provides a cooling experience at times, with the overall effect being a vegetable garden, a giant sand field or a private beach, depending on your viewpoint and interests! Sure to be a hit with both the butterflies and the young kids of the family!

花园的皮肤 Skin

花园的可触表面就像我们具有半透性的柔嫩皮肤，会显示愤怒、褶皱、颜色、老化、情绪和晒伤。虽然我们了解这些材料的半衰期，但我们不想采取类似“涂抹面霜”的操作，只是希望将人们的注意力吸引到衰变之美和死亡是生命不可分割的一部分这一事实上。

The touchable surface of this garden is calculated like a tender semipermeable skin showing irritations, folds, color, aging, emotions and sunburn. We knew about the half-life of the material but we didn’t want to operate with creams. The attention is drawn on the beauty of decay and the fact that death is an integral part of life.

植物 Plants

所有植物对阳光、土壤和水分都有相似的需求。带有绿色植物的沙袋上装有腐殖质和肥料，可以确保植物在这种环境中舒适成长。南瓜、西葫芦、黄瓜、西红柿和旱金莲都是我们在这一年中取得的巨大胜利。花园的外观每天都在发生变化，一个名副其实的动态花园。

All plants have similar demands respective sun, soil and water. Sandbags with greenery have pockets with humus and manure to ensure that the plants feel comfortable in this environment. Pumpkins, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes and nasturtiums did make daring conquests over the course of the year. The appearance of this garden changed from “day to day”, a garden in constant motion.

可持续性能 Sustainable performance

整个花园就像一座水库，沙袋下面的透水层可以帮助存储周围地区的径流雨水，让周围树根吸收这里的水分。而且，不需要喷洒农药或其它任何化学物质，沙袋表面就能将帮助去除杂草并减少水分蒸发。

The whole garden is like a reservoir for rain runoffs of the surrounding areas. The water is stored in a permeable layer below the sandbags. The roots have access to this water shed. The skin fought the weed back without any chemistry and reduced evaporation.

填入袋内的沙土将与原地土壤充分混合。这种简单的方法，可以创造出高含氧量、排水良好、疏松的空气土壤。下一个花园将在明年春天建成，我们期待着叶绿素、孩子和成群蝴蝶在花园里的新“舞蹈”。

Stuffed in bags the sand will become admixed with the in-situ soil. That’s a simple measure to create airy soil with high oxygen content, well drained and a pleasure to work with. A next garden will grow next spring. We are looking forward to a new dance of chlorophyll, kids and butterflies.
