Hyundai Capital China's new headquarters located high up in a 31-story building in Beijing, is an uplifting workplace that eschews hierarchical separation in favor of free flowing spaces, where finance and creativity coexist for the benefit of employees and customers.
Transparency, open spaces, generous walkways and informal meeting areas provide opportunities for chance encounters and impromptu exchanges. The workplace itself features full-height glass offices and open bench-type workstations to maximize the intake of natural light and views in all directions.
As a counterpoint to the climate and air quality issues specific to Beijing, a variety of plants inspired by traditional Chinese gardens are incorporated into the space to create a soothing backdrop for focus, rejuvenation and inspiration. While demonstrating Hyundai Capital's commitment towards employee well-being, the vegetation stands in contrast with the deceptively simple color palette of white, gray and black material finishes, as well as the minimalist furniture and fixtures. This translates in a cool, calm and collected atmosphere which redefines the paradigm of a traditional financial service firm.
At the heart of each floor is a unique communal space inspired by Chinese traditional architecture. Strategically located adjacent to a generously sized pantry, the pagoda houses amenity spaces as library, pavilion and tea pavilion. The pagoda serves as a catalyst for collaboration, learning and socialization among employees, all prerequisites to foster a strong sense of a community and company culture unique to Hyundai Capital.
