Project Background

艾尔福特艾格公园-“知识森林”，是我事务所在艾格公园继“园丁王国”后的二期项目。场地位于一期东北方向的森林里。二期设计是针对各年龄层的知识普及，所以在表达风格上较为成熟。

Erfurt Egger Park – “Knowledge Forest” is the second phase of our firm’s project in Egger Park following the “Gardener’s Kingdom”. The site is located in the forest to the northeast of Phase 1. The second-phase design is aimed at the popularization of knowledge of all ages, so it is more mature in expression style.

通往彼得斯堡城堡的斜坡森林，是一块城市绿地。过去为了向人们普及自然知识，设立过一些简易的牌子。以2021年艾尔福特园林展为契机，这些简易的牌子被升级成了“知识站点”。森林将以更吸引人的方式传播自然知识。

The sloping forest leading to Petersburg Castle is an urban green space. In the past, in order to popularize natural knowledge to people, some simple brands were established. Taking the 2021 Erfurt Garden Show as an opportunity, these simple signs have been upgraded to “knowledge sites”. Natural knowledge in the forest will be disseminated in a more attractive way.

总体概念

Concept

斜坡森林上现存路径众多，互相交织，因此一期的线性结构在这里不再适用。“知识森林”采用主题站点的形式进行布置。以“动物世界”、 “植物世界” 、“菌类世界” 、 “无机世界”和“生态群落”为主题，30个站点分布于森林中。方案以“站牌”的形式，提示对参观者进行驻足观察。这样的科普方式，让参观者通过 “寻宝游戏”，重新认识他们所熟悉的森林。

The existing paths on the sloping forest are numerous and intertwined, so the linear structure of the first phase no longer applies here. The “knowledge forest” is arranged in the form of themed sites. With the themes of “Animal World”, “Plant World”, “Fungus World”, “Inorganic World” and “Ecological Community”, 30 sites are distributed in the forest. In the form of a “stop sign”, the plan reminds visitors to stop and observe. Such a popular science method allows visitors to re-understand the forest they are familiar with through a “treasure hunt”.

动物站点

Animal Stations

在森林中我们偶尔会与一些小动物相遇，比如常见的狐狸，麋鹿等。狐狸形状的”站牌“上介绍着，图灵根州的森林中体型最大的五种哺乳动物。关于动物叫声、脚印和皮毛的知识，也有专门的站点以互动方式进行介绍。

In the forest, we occasionally encounter some small animals, such as common foxes, elk and so on. The fox-shaped “stop sign” describes the five largest mammals in the forests of Thuringia. There are also dedicated sites to introduce knowledge about animal calls, footprints and fur in an interactive way.

除了地上的走兽，还有天上的飞禽。鸟类站牌上播放着各种鸟类的叫声。巨型鸟屋里则悬挂着各种鸟蛋的挂件，介绍着分辨他们的方法，宛如进行着鸟蛋博览会。

In addition to the beasts on the earth, there are also birds in the sky. The calls of various birds are played on the bird stop sign. In the bird house at the back are hanging pendants of various bird eggs, introducing the method of distinguishing them, as if conducting a bird egg exposition.

At the push of a button, you can hear the calls of different species of birds

除了看得见的地上空间，这个斜着眼睛的土块里面还住着许多地下动物，快翻开看看里面都有些什么。

In addition to the visible space on the ground, there are many underground animals living in this slanted-eyed clod. Open it and see what is inside.

PlantStations

植物的世界也很精彩。从植物分类，到裸子植物和被子植物的不同种子；从根部如何吸收营养，到叶子如何进行光合作用，都能在植物世界站点中找到答案。

The world of plants is also wonderful. From plant classification, to the different seeds of gymnosperms and angiosperms; from how roots absorb nutrients to how leaves perform photosynthesis, you can find answers on the Plant World site.

See the big question mark on the tree trunk? That is the forest inviting visitors to come under the trees and listen to the stories of the trees.

Fungus Stations

德国森林里生长着各类菌类。菌类与树木有共生关系，也有寄生关系。大家快找找哪些菌类会威胁树木的健康把它们拔掉吧！颜色鲜艳的蘑菇往往有毒不能食用，那就做成游玩设备供小朋友当平衡木吧！

Various types of fungi grow in German forests. Fungi have a symbiotic relationship with trees, as well as a parasitic relationship. Let’s find out which fungi are threatening the health of trees and pull them out! Brightly colored mushrooms are often poisonous and inedible, so make play equipment for children to use as balance beams!

无机物站点

Inorganic World

森林里除了动植物和菌类这样的有机生物，还有另外一类资源，这就是无机物。如气体、水资源及石头等。

In addition to organic organisms such as animals, plants and fungi, there is another type of resource in the forest, which is inorganic matter. Such as gas, water resources and stones.

水资源及气体站点列举出生态环境所面临的威胁，并告诫人们要保护环境，减少污染。

岩石站点展示着真实的常见岩石，参观者可以触摸感受不同种类岩石的质感，加深对当地岩石的了解。

火山站点介绍着地壳的结构，以及火山熔岩是怎么到达地表，又是怎么形成火成岩的。

The rock site displays real common rocks, and visitors can touch and feel the texture of different types of rocks and deepen their understanding of local rocks.

Volcano sites describe the structure of the Earth’s crust, how volcanic lava reaches the surface, and how igneous rocks are formed.

生态群落

Ecological Community

森林中的有机物及无机物，组成了重要的生态群落。树枝堆，瓦砾堆，池塘等，都是动植物菌类的栖息地。

The organic matter and inorganic matter in the forest constitute an important ecological community. Twig piles, rubble piles, ponds, etc. are all habitats for flora, fauna and fungi.

从手稿到落地

From sketching to constructing

与一期的“园丁王国”一样，“知识森林”的落地效果，完美实现了充满想象的手绘图纸。从竞赛的手稿到施工图纸，皆由雷瓦德景观建筑事务所完成。而完美的落地效果，离不开设计师的专业知识，以及游戏设备厂商的鼎力配合。

Like the first issue of “The Gardener’s Kingdom”, the landing effect of “Knowledge Forest” has perfectly realized the hand-painted drawings full of imagination. From the competition manuscript to the construction drawings, it was done by Reward Landscape Architects. The perfect landing effect is inseparable from the professional knowledge of designers and the full cooperation of game equipment manufacturers.

多媒体互动

Multimedia Interaction

In addition to the physical stop sign, we also worked with Kids Interactive, a local cutting-edge technology company in Erfurt, to complete the page design of the Knowledge Forest. The rest area is equipped with hammocks and internet, where visitors can scan the QR code on the stop sign to browse the four themed sections of “Rock Classification”, “Phalaenopsis Atlas”, “Five Forest Giants” and “Underground World”.

网页上的各个版块通过互动的方式，向人们介绍着更多森林的知识。其中“岩石分类“、”蝴蝶兰图册“、”森林五巨头”通过声画介绍了森林知识，而地底世界则是知识森林主题结合经典游戏大食蛇的成果。

Each section on the web page introduces more forest knowledge to people in an interactive way. Among them, “Rock Classification”, “Phalaenopsis Atlas”, and “Five Giants of the Forest” introduced forest knowledge through sound and picture, while the underground world is the result of the combination of the knowledge forest theme and the classic game Snake.
