This edifice in Montrouge is surrounded on one side by an imposing office building and on the other by apartments. It resembles a “comb” in shape, with a central linear main section and 5 lower perpendicular volumes. The spaces between the “teeth” of the comb are filled with gardens and terraces.
Horizontality dominates the composition of the façades, with alternating ribbons of glass and solid spandrel panels. The latter are covered in cladding composed of extruded aluminum tubes, in square and variable sections. Placed vertically and spaced randomly, these metal sections are lacquered in a palette of colors ranging from white to golden.
This shimmering material gives the building a changing appearance according to variations in daylight. Captured flashes of sunlight enhances vibration effects, increasing the range of chromatic nuances and constantly modifying the perception of the building.
