The parti for the garden at the Court Square Press Building, a massive 19th century industrial building, is predicated upon the notion of the ‘fragmented view’ and relies on the strategic deployment of garden components to create a unique sense of place. Arranged in an alternating and rotating composition, lighted elements, undulating ground planes, a floating deck, and integrated plantings viscerally coalesce into a dynamic garden choreography, which is revealed and amplified through bodily movement and when viewed from above.
