Meyer Davis honored both the neighborhood design scene and the client brand in developing the Nautilus by Arlo lobby and amenity space as a stylish and fun place to stay for visitors to Miami.
Nautilus by Arlo, located in the heart of Miami Beach’s art deco district, has unveiled a redesigned lobby and public spaces, new amenities, locally-inspired programming and a selection of the brand’s New York City-based collaborators, all coming together to reimagine the Arlo Hotels experience for South Beach.
Arlo added the iconic property to its brand portfolio in April 2019, and has since been transforming the hotel experience to inspire a sense of adventure and imagination. This has been led in part by a collaboration with beloved neighborhood barbershop and cocktail lounge, Blind Barber, to open their first Miami location at Nautilus.
Nautilus also redesigned its spacious lobby to accommodate jet-setting guests searching for a relaxed retreat, South Beach’s digital nomads, and on-the-go business travelers. The signature Arlo lobby now offers welcoming spaces mixing modern conveniences with high-design details, giving locals and guests an effective yet beautiful home base for work, hotel-planned programming, or any purpose. A large communal table provides the ideal environment for co-working, while cozy nooks offer a place to rest and recharge between adventures.
The lobby also now houses one of Arlo’s trademark Bodegas, a 24-hour pantry selling coffee and artisanal food, as well as Arlo’s custom “Deep Woods” scent and global gifts from Fancy. The lobby and Bodega join Nautilus’ existing roster of venues and amenities, including the 1,890-square-foot heated saltwater pool, Mediterranean restaurant Nautilus Cabana Club, a 24-hour fitness center, 12,000 square feet of outdoor event space and more.
