DZAP designed a defining atrium as a bright and open space at the Simon-Kucher & Partners offices in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Simon-Kucher & Partners, a global pricing and strategy consultancy, asked us to design their new office in the Infinity building on the edge of Amsterdam’s Zuidas. This striking office building with its abundance of glass walls and multiple interior gardens presented an interesting design challenge. The Architect’s Café brainstorming session clearly revealed that they were looking for an office that combined the feel of a welcoming, chic living room with a professional, spacious and businesslike appearance.
Our design focuses on the spacious feeling in the office by making optimal use of the centrally located atrium. The phone booths, workplaces and seats are positioned almost against the atrium to make maximum use of the spatial effect. The open areas alternate with enclosed offices and meeting rooms. The use of beautiful materials and soft and warm colours gives the office a welcoming and businesslike look.
