ASD | SKY designed Leave of Absence Rooftop on the Interlock building in Atlanta, creating an immersive experience includes bold architectural forms, lush landscaping, and cozy cabanas.

ASD|SKY worked closely with the Owner’s creative team to design Rooftop L.O.A. (Leave of Absence), located on the roof of the Interlock building at 1115 Howell Mill Road. The vision for the 38,000 SF rooftop amenity was to make guests feel like they are on vacation the moment they check in on the ground floor, whether they traveled five hours, or five minutes, to be there. Inspired by world- class resort locations like Mykonos, Monaco, and Costa del Sol, Rooftop L.O.A. creates a getaway from the everyday. Bold architectural forms, shaded arcades, cozy cabanas, and lush landscaping create an immersive experience for every guest. Organized as a series of indoor and outdoor rooms, Rooftop L.O.A. takes guests on a trip across the Mediterranean, from the cabana striped pool clubs of Monaco to the magical lushly landscaped garden lounges of Mykonos. Comfortable interiors, site- specific art installations, and a simple, yet modern architectural aesthetic, create an immersive, experience for anyone needing a leave of absence from the everyday. With the capacity to seat 1,000 guests, L.O.A. features a full-service restaurant, a 1,200 SF pool, an outdoor bar and gathering space and a 150-person covered event pavilion. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, a bar and lounge area, and a private dining room with an eye-catching 300-seat patio. Luxury meets comfort around every corner, with fire tables, shade trees, an upstairs outdoor terrace, a fire pit, a wraparound pool-side bar, and multiple private cabanas. ASD|SKY functioned as the lead design team for Rooftop L.O.A., providing full Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design, and Landscape Architecture design services through construction.
