Escobar Construccion Arquitectura was engaged by Sony Pictures to design a space to unite their different production stages at their offices in Bogota, Colombia.
The design proposition for SONY Pictures started from the desire to design an office that united all creative and productive stages of SONY Pictures. The design maintains and supports the integration of the employees’ different activities regardless of the particularities of each company’s branch.
Aware of the context in which the office was designed, we set out to create a space adapted to the different ways of working that may arise each day. The collaborative common area is a central node in the layout, connecting each zone and allowing diverse teams to meet. It is an adaptable space, allowing users flexibility to work how they desire and feel safe, be it individually in a different environment or in collaborative settings. The screens and the furniture are easy to reassemble, making sure the space truly answers the users’ immediate needs and preferences.
The design instills a sense of identity by using iconic ambient graphic installations that contrast with the neutral color palette that defines the brand.
