As we’ve mentioned on our portfolio page, South Africa’s rich history plays a large role in how we choose our projects. The Everard Read Gallery is one such example that shows off just how talented South African artists are, and just how proud we should be of our history. The modernisation of the Everard Read Gallery at the Portswood Precinct at the V&A Waterfront required the existing gallery space to be fitted out with new ceiling and lighting. The last update to the building’s ceiling and lighting took place 20 years ago, so an update was more than necessary from our architects and designers. The combination of existing windows with natural light and new lighting gives the gallery the flexibility to display paintings and sculptures in a variety of ways.
