“光影之道”美学空间，光、影一定是处于一个相互对峙、渗透、转化、不断循环的状态。光和影，是自然界赋予空间的阴和阳，随着光影强弱和角度不断变化，形成了虚实和大小方向不同的变化。在室内空间中，光与影的作用是相同的，正如中国哲学中的“阴”“阳”两部分，相辅相成，相互渗透。

均衡与稳定，会给人一种安定的秩序感;对偶与互补，对称对应、补充协调;节奏与韵律，主要是借助于建筑内外结构构件或有规律的造型，制造出充满韵律变化和节奏感的光影效果;再加上太阳在空中的运动轨迹，使室内光影展现出渐变的姿态，赋予光影动态效果。

光影表现空间层次，三维空间层次感的形成，需要光线把肌理、色彩作为媒介，表达的空间特性，表现空间层次美;光影界定空间划分，是通过光线的亮度不同，改变空间性质，制造不同层次;光影加强空间联系，以均匀稳定的光影亮度，为不同性质的空间，铺垫一个统一的基调，使人们在心理上形成一个连贯流畅、协调一致的空间感受。
