An individual building for a special school concept. The two-storey building is divided into an open and inviting school landscape by three atriums and the entrance atrium. The primary school is located in the southern wing. The 5th to 9th grades are housed in the north wing and the shared specialist classes are located in the middle. The centre of the school is the two-storey entrance atrium. A covered portico connects the school building with the sports hall, which occupies its place on the school campus as an independent structure. The sports hall is also used for events by the Ammerbuch town community.
The spatial disposition of the new school building of the community school and primary school with sports hall creates an attractive school campus that is oriented towards the district of Entringen and the slope edge of the Schönbuch and creates differentiated outdoor areas with different characters.
