Designed by the late Jaya Ibrahim, the 110 suites and villas are the perfect hideaway for Capella Singapore. The renowned Indonesian designer has worked his magic here, giving rooms a balanced symmetry and less luxury. While on the surface these suites and villas are perfect in many ways, they are still in the midst of a recent renovation program.

这次的翻新，傅厚民（André Fu）和他的设计团队AFSO试图尊重最初的意图，同时注入现代酒店客人所期望的奢华水平。设计需要反映出今天人们使用空间的方式不同这一事实，André Fu希望他的存在可以起到补充作用。他认为Jaya代表了第一代现代亚洲设计师，印尼设计师的设计语言是纯粹和情绪化的，反映了当时东南亚设计的立场，这在过去是，现在也是。

For this renovation, André Fu and his design team AFSO sought to respect the original intent while injecting the level of luxury that modern hotel guests have come to expect. The design needs to reflect the fact that people use Spaces differently today, and Andre Fu hopes his presence can complement that. He believes that Jaya represents the first generation of modern Asian designers, and that the design language of Indonesian designers is pure and emotional, reflecting the stance of Southeast Asian design at the time, as it was and is.

For André Fu, today's design spans cultures and geography, whether it's in Singapore, Tokyo or London, so designing a new room is not about novelty. It is about developing a space through design, in a renovated room at Capella Hotel Singapore, which he sees as a dialogue between himself and Jaya in imagination.

André Fu used dramatic elements in the design of the project, however, the feeling is so soft. He infused the hotel with modern elements without losing the hotel's heritage. In fact, he adds to the timeless nature of the hotel.
