The construction of Camargo Corrêa's new headquarters highlights the pedestrian walkway crossing Avenida Juscelino Kubitschek, making its revitalization essential due to the new demand for people that the complex will create. In addition to the installation of an urban elevator to comply with the Universal Mobility Standard, a staircase was proposed to replace the old ramp, which was unsuitable for the small site where it was installed, forcing users to access the walkway via a path hidden from view from the sidewalk. This path was poorly lit, with low ceilings and no escape route, compromising safety.
Completing the ensemble that provides better enjoyment of the area, a walkway between Avenida Juscelino Kubitschek and Rua Pequetita was installed in the recess of the technical building next to Camargo Corrêa's headquarters.
The original features of the old walkway, built in 2000, were maintained, with the metal mesh guardrail being restored and the damaged parts of the opposite ramp, located next to Rua Minas da Prata, being replaced, as well as being repainted in automotive paint. A derivation was also added to the footbridge deck to move the elevator and stairs to a small square, away from the avenue.
New landscaping was also proposed, highlighting the small square where the stairs and elevator are located, marking the new passage between the street and the avenue.
