SSP food travel experts’ new foodcourt in Montreal Airport required a immense re-design following the project of the new commercial vision. In the pursuit of the great vision developed by the multidisciplinary team, the 13 restaurants were designed so to reveal their unique character and identities, of which some were entirely designed by Humà such as Baero and Montreal Bagel. The design of each of the thirtheen different food banners was conceived so to be implant themselves strategicly in the jetty. For instance, Baéro was moved into newest extension of the international jetty, and its large open plan gives it a sense of a retro departure bar. QDC Burger, on the other hand, reveals itself to be more of famous “back street alley” burgers in downtown Montreal, with openings on its two facades. Keeping in mind Montreal’s food culture, Montreal Bagel counter uses the simple language of the bagel shops of the city, with a large counter giving a feel of a French bistro. The entire project creates a constellation of little interventions, maximizing the user's experience and unfolding as the beginning of a wonderful journey.
