Located off Greville Street, Prahran, this modest plaza acts as an entry to an existing park and provides an important outdoor room to compliment the adjacent dynamic Greville Street. Taylor Cullity Lethlean was engaged as principal designers to collaborate with artist Robert Owen. A significant feature of the Plaza is an integrated artwork by Robert Owen composed of six small fountains that reference the original wetlands that occupied this site. Circular stainless steel discs loosely arranged to reference water lilies. From the centre of the fountains water delicately rises from the earth. This pattern of water and steel is further enriched at night with a myriad of blue LED lights that are fixed into the pavement.
