AVANTGARDE Consulting completed the offices for the FC Bayern München football club located in Shanghai, China.

The FC Bayern München moved into a new home far away from home: Building on their knowledge in spatial brand experiences, the team at Avantgarde Shanghai conceptualized, designed, and executed the interior design of the soccer club’s new office space at Sinar Mas Plaza, Shanghai. High up on the 21th floor of the building, employees as well as guests and partners enjoy a fantastic view of the Shanghai skyline, ‘the Bund’.

Different modes of working, connecting, and gathering found their reflection across the roughly 300sqm large office space. Meeting rooms and functional areas such as the lobby and kitchen area reflect the identity and heritage of the “Star of the South”. Legendary players and their previous touchpoints with the Chinese fanbase are depicted on the walls, and a speaker cabin, locker room, and a traditional Bavarian style meeting room further create authentic atmospheres that immerse employees and visitors alike in the FC Bayern spirit.

Selected and high-quality materials such as real oak, black steel frame with tempered glass and Vitra furniture for workplaces and meeting room were used to reflect the client’s authentic characteristics.
