Audi and Mercedes brand shops are located on the territory of former Likhachev car factory. It used to be a front gate of ZIL factory complex which is known as the most considerable example of industrial constructivism. The design structure of the factory preserves its’ original structure as a part of historical heritage and it looks parade entryway for the whole complex of backside buildings.

The new car center includes show rooms, pre-owned car shop, and service centers of both brands. Concept design is based on Audi and Mercedes design standards which are quite different and there are no replications between it. Both car centers are located in one building but they are kept entirely separate. It was a goal for our bureau to put two rival brands in the area of one building and to create different functional and interior designs.

For each brand unique show rooms, sales zones, executive office zones and parking areas were created. The original architectural volume of the building was enlarged by modern glassed areas. Massive glass panels size of 3x6 meters were implemented to provide a unique penetration of natural light which brings life and aspiration for visitors.

Modern part of the building matches well the historical part due to proper proportions, minimalistic design, and miss of excess detailing.

The historical car center grows up as two separate buildings which connect future and the past in order to preserve the initial spirit of the place. Renovated building keeps the context of the place to create the new urban legend.
