On the basis of limited budget and tight site area, the valley student apartment has adopted a stereoscopic settlement art community to shape the dwelling cluster model to reorganized the dormitory and sharing functions. With the help of the overhead platform on the surface, exhibition halls, self-study rooms, coffee shops, gymnasiums, bicycle gar-ages and other functions were set under the platform to form an open and flowing art market block and create communication space for students. The upper part of the plat-form is mainly for student apartments. Facing the tea mountain, there are more than ten multi-elevation roof platforms, as well as multi-elevation roof garden. These spaces ex-pand communication between teachers and students, form a dynamic communication settlement integrating living, learning and social interaction, which is also in line with the education direction of Jingdezhen Vocational University of Art.

山谷学生公寓将居住模块和生活模块垂直分区,塑造居住的立体聚落艺术社区,高效地利用了有限的用地。地面层的架空平台下设置展厅、自习室、咖啡厅、健身房、自行车库等功能,形成开放流动的艺术集市街区,为学生增进友谊创造空间。平台上设置学生公寓,面对茶山形成十几个集约混合的、多标高的屋面开放平台,以及多标高的空中花园和屋顶花园,可以登上松山,下到溪边,这些拓展了师生的生活交往空间,形成一个集生活、学习、社交为一体的活力交往聚落体,也符合景德镇艺术职业大学的育人方向。

Under the requirement of a per capita floor area of less than 10sqm and a low-cost construction (2300 CNY/sqm), we adopt a vertical porous stereoscopic structure to in-crease natural lighting and ventilation of the building, create outdoor shading and rain shelter space, and cope with the hot and rainy climate characteristics of Jingdezhen.Light planting soil is used on the roof for greening, also increasing the thermal insulation effect. The vertical porous three-dimensional structure uses bright colors inside, and its light-weight facade expression makes the originally thick volume disappear in the environment. We hope that these colors shine like a beam of light into the building, leading students to explore and discover. The inspiration of color comes from the monochrome glaze in tradi-tional porcelain, including Langhong, Jilan and other colors, which come from the artistic heritage of the millennium porcelain capital. We hope that these colors could become the background of art colleges to create themes for teachers and students, and participate in the continuous dissemination of art and culture on campus.

在人均建筑面积不足10平方米的指标和2300元/平方米的低成本建造的要求下,我们采用多孔立体结构,增加建筑自然采光和通风,创造户外遮荫避雨空间,应对景德镇炎热、多雨的气候特点。屋面局部采用轻质种植土绿化屋面,增加保温隔热效果。垂直多孔的立体结构内部使用了明亮的色彩,它以其轻盈的立面表情使原本厚实的体量消隐在环境中。我们希望这些色彩像一道光照进建筑,让学生去探索和发现。色彩的灵感来自于千年瓷都的单色釉,包括郎红、霁蓝等色彩。我们希望这些色彩可以成为艺术院系的师生进行主题创作的背景,一起参与到校园持续的艺术文化的传播之中。

设计理念四:低成本建造,用色彩传承千年瓷都的历史底蕴 Design concept 4: Low cost construction, using colors to inheriting the millennium porcelain capital history

By facing abundant historical culture accumulation, we try to integrate and extend the unique regional temperament of Jingdezhen into the building space. The mundane matters in Jingdezhen and the unique style of the thousand-year-old tea garden all had an impact on our design.

The valley student apartment consists of four dormitories, which freely span stream and wetland. The design uses the concept of bottom overhead to solve the elevation dif-ference of 3-5 meters in the terrain and reduce earthwork. Low environment impact de-sign methods such as overhanging, inclined columns, overhead, and crossing, to reduce the impact on tea mountains and pine forests, maximize the retention of wetlands within the site as a flood discharge channel for the entire area. Architecture and natural envi-ronment coexist harmoniously, and the landscape effect, control and optimize the land-scape effect and the overall ecological benefits.

山谷学生公寓由4栋宿舍组成,自由地横跨在小溪和湿地之上。设计运用底层架空的理念,解决地形3至5米的高差、减少土方工程。运用悬挑、斜柱、架空、跨越等低环境影响度的设计方式,减少对茶山、松林的影响,并最大化保留场地内的低洼处的湿地作为整个区域的泄洪通道。建筑与自然环境和谐共生,景观效果与整体生态效益得到最大的控制和优化。

面对有丰富历史底蕴的场地,我们从尊重场地精神的角度出发,试图将景德镇独特的地域气质融入和延展在建筑空间之中。景德镇的市井烟火气息、千年茶园的独特风貌,都对我们的设计产生了影响。

The core concept of the Valley student apartment of Jingdezhen Vocational University of Art project aims to preserve the natural landscape elements within the site with minimal intervention, and create a Stereoscopic settlement art community that promotes student social interaction under low-cost conditions. The valley student apartment project of Jingdezhen Vocational University of Art is located between a beautiful tea garden and a dense pine forest on the campus, spanning the valley wetlands and streams. Jingdezhen is known as the “Porcelain Capital” because it has been producing Chinese ceramics for at least 1,000 years. It is the center of ancient Chinese art ceramic production and tea production.

The building looks as if it is slightly suspended on the existing terrain, harmoniously coexisting with tea gardens and pine forests, creating a safe, resilient, and vibrant campus environment. In close collaboration with hydraulic and landscape engineers, the area flooded by seasonal flood is designed as a wetland art valley. In dry season, the bottom of the building is an open-air theater and a dry stream. Flexible anti-seepage measures are adopted in these areas to avoid erosion of the structural baseplate. The valley in the rainy season will be temporarily returned to nature, students can fully feel the power of nature and plants succession in this special period, which will become an unforgettable experience in the university life.

景德镇艺术职业大学山谷学生公寓项目核心理念旨在用最低介入的方式最大程度的保留场地内的自然山水要素,创造低成本条件下的、促进学生社交的立体聚落艺术社区。景德镇艺术职业大学山谷学生公寓项目位于校园美丽的茶园和茂密的松林之间,跨越在山谷湿地和小溪之上。景德镇是一座千年瓷都和茶城,是中国古代的艺术陶瓷生产中心和茶叶生产中心。

建筑轻轻地悬浮在现有地形之上,与茶园和松林和谐共生,形成安全、韧性并富有活力的校园环境。在与水利工程师和景观工程师的密切合作中,被季节性洪水淹没的区域设计成湿地艺术谷,枯水期建筑底部是露天剧场和旱溪,这些区域采取柔性防渗设计,避免对结构底板产生侵蚀与冲刷。丰水期的谷地将被暂时交还给自然,学生们可以在这个特殊时期充分感受到自然的力量与植物的演替,成为大学校园共同生活里的一段难忘的经历。
