Melia Hotels International has opened its first hotel on the Adriatic coast of Montenegro and the resort is a paradise for Mediterranean holidays. It is an irresistible combination of tranquillity, nature and splendour in an idyllic location overlooking turquoise waters and centuries-old pine trees. An escape from the world in one of the best kept secrets of the Adriatic. Linea Light Group lights the hotel in such a way so as to enhance its every detail, allowing the structure to exist in harmony with the surrounding environment, providing its guests with nothing but moments of pure relaxation.

The outside of the building is illuminated with light play created by Loop66, proposed in the standard versions with four beams and custom-made version with three.

The windows and balconies are illuminated with Arcada units positioned near the parapet with no glare toward the room and no unsightly dispersions of light. Arcada provides an even intensity, giving greater depth to the architectural scenario.

The perimeter shelter of the roof of the building, the outdoor pool and the balconies that connect the hotel towers are all illuminated with Fylo Outdoor which, thanks to the built in profile, is a ready-to-use strip lighting solution even in cases where there is no structure built into the building.

The Portik luminaire completes the outdoor lighting on the side porches along with the Gardener outdoor spotlights distributed over the shrubs and palm trees in the garden which, thanks to the set-back optics, limit glare.

The hotel interior was also the subject of a detailed lighting study depending on the different areas.

The reception area has a decorative appeal with Baton_P, a simple and refined suspension that creates elegant atmospheres without sacrificing the proper lighting for the operational surface.

The lobby area, on the other hand, is fully illuminated with Loro_RJ: a product conceived for false ceiling lighting with limited manoeuvring space, since it is characterised by a curved rear heat-sink that reduces the flush-mounting depth.

In the restaurants, the common areas and the corridors, flush-mounted Cell units are used for general lighting which disappear into the ceiling, allowing only the light to work. For the meeting rooms, the Warp and Rada_R downlight units providing the lighting, combining efficiency and visual comfort.

The elegant Mongolfier suspension, on the other hand, is used to emphasise the buffets and to decorate the environment with class.

Particular attention was placed on the rooms that are illuminated by general lighting with the Quantum_Y downlights and indirect light thanks to the application of strips in the edge over the bed. Bart_W is used for the headboard and desk light.

In the hotel wellness centre, various lighting is used including decorative lighting and architectural lighting such as, for example, Pool_C and Pool_S for the barbershops and the fitness centre or like the 2nights wall-mounted fixtures used to light the plaques in the various areas, but also the indirect amber-coloured light for the custom version of the strips installed in the corridor.

An important Fylo+ installation in the IP version lights the indoor pool in a structure with a perimeter of about 80m, created thanks to the built-in profile that comes with the product.
