DZAP recently accomplished the office design for TTG, a technology company located in Gouda, Netherlands.
TTG had a clear concept: they required an office that visually presented their core business. And what could be more appropriate for a designer and installer of technical systems than using a purposeful of technology like air conditioning systems and cabling as an eye catcher?
As a result, the ceilings have become an essential part of the interior design. They are open above the work zones and all the technical systems, cables and pipes are visible and clearly present. The traffic zones, on the other hand, are characterised by a suspended ceiling made from black expanded metal sheet illuminated by led lighting. This design touch also automatically draws the eye to the ceiling: by using a different material – the black expanded metal sheet – we have achieved a slightly different look compared to the ceiling above the work zones.
In the office, the 35-metre corridor acts as a traffic zone and separation between the work zones. We decided to install a long made-to-measure cabinet here, along with various items of meeting furniture such as benches and chat tables. This not only gives the long corridor an extra dimension, it also creates a dynamic facility for working and meetings.
The basic colours and materials used in the design are anthracite grey, black and wood. Thanks to the choice of a subdued basic canvas, we were able to add accents in tomato red, a colour used in TTG’s corporate identity, the office is now a warm and powerful environment.
